Volundeil is a female drow noble who fled her house when she found out her sister planned on killing her. Always abnormal for drow society she managed to hide it well, and held her own in her house’s plots. Once she found out that her days were numbered she fled with her half-brother Pharnox, and her half-sister Larana, who had been fleshwarped by Pharnox. She took a few other drow and fleshwarped with her. After a while living on the surface of Golorian, she captured a spelljammer ship and left to Akiton. There she and the others founded a shipworks.

Volundeil is a fighter, and is focused on polearms. She has a guisearme called Storm’s End which is her primary weapon. She taught some of the party tricks to trip, and disarm using polearms.

Volundeil’s mother was cursed by an outsider so that her progeny were often abnormal as seen by drow society. Her sister Larana was seen as abnormal and was sentenced to be turned into a drider. Volundeil was also abnormal. She used a helm of opposite alignment on her brother Pharnox before he fleshwarped Larana. Pharnox was able to change the fleshwarping process so that while Larana was changed into a drider, she would not be completly evil. Later Volundeil and Pharnox became mates, which is not unusual in drow society.
